Terms of Service
Payment, Add-ons, and Extras
All payment will be done via invoice sent by the individual artist working on their respective part of a commission. The client will be notified when an invoice is sent out, and will be given three (3) days to submit payment. Failure to do so within the allotted time may cause the commission to be cancelled. All prices listed are subject to change based on the complexity and length of your commission. Each individual artist may charge differently for the same commission due to the difference in medium & work time.Add-ons & Extras may be asked for by the client prior to or during the work process, depending on the nature of said add-ons. Please ask the artist about particular add-ons. Depending on when the add-ons can be/are added, the commission's initial price will be affected, and payment will be processed. If add-ons cannot be done at the point in the commission the client asks for them, the client will be informed and no charge will be incurred.Prices may not be negotiated by the client. Attempting to negotiate a lower price after work has begun will result in your commission being cancelled.Payment Plans
Individual artists may offer payment plans if asked. The most common payment plans are as follows:✦ Full Payment: The client will be invoiced for 100% of the initial price (base price + initial add-ons or extras) prior to work beginning. Any add-ons or extras decided upon during the commission process will be invoiced separately.✦ Half & Half Payment: The client will be invoiced for 50% of the initial price (base price + initial add-ons or extras) prior to work beginning and 50% upon delivery of a first draft. Any add-ons or extras decided upon during the commission prices will be invoiced either with the 2nd half of the invoice or separately (if added in the back half of a commission). All other payment plans must be negotiated with the respective artist.
Termination, Cancellation, & Refunds
Client termination is also possible by sending a notice to Galeia Studio and the respective artists on a project. Any termination by the client will fall under one of the following categories:✦ Prior to work beginning
If the client decides to cancel a commission prior to work beginning, Galeia Studio will refund 100% of what the client has paid by that point in time.✦ WIP or Partial Completion
If the client decides to cancel a commission while work is in progress, the client may receive a partial refund based on the amount of work that has already been completed and where the artist is in their process. This partial refund will be anywhere from [10%-50%] of the total payment, which will be determined by the artist(s) working. As soon as a commission reaches the 50% threshold, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.✦ Full Completion
If the client decides to cancel after the commission has been completed, no refunds will be issued, and the client will still be responsible for the payment in full.✦ Business relationship termination
Any violation of Galeia Studio’s Terms of Service will result in a termination of your commission. If your commission is terminated, you will, under no circumstances, receive a refund. Should your commission be terminated, Galeia Studio reserves all rights to block any and all communication with you, as well as blacklisting you from being able to commission Galeia Studio or any of the artists under Galeia Studio.
NDA Projects & Rush Projects
✦ NDA Projects
Galeia Studio offers NDAs for a fee that is equivalent to 15% of the total payment. This NDA prohibits Galeia Studio and the respective artists from streaming the progress of the commission, as well as posting any WIPs or mentioning the client on social media. This NDA lasts until the final deliverable is made public by the client, after which Galeia Studio and the respective artists are allowed to post WIPs and promote the project.✦ Rush Projects
A maximum of 1 rush slot will be available per quarter. It will be accepted in order of application.
1 month turnaround = 80-100% of total price (based on desired length)
Revisions
Major revisions (changing whole sections of a commission) during the first draft of a commission can be discussed between artist and client. This may happen during a written outline, the sketch/storyboard process, or a rough cut of an edit.Major revisions made after this point will incur a charge for each major revision done. If a revision is not possible for any reason, it will be declined.Minor revisions (smaller edits to the work) may be asked for during the work process.Any revisions asked for after completion will incur a charge.
General rights
Both Galeia Studio and any of the creators on a given project must be credited appropriately.

Commission Process Overview
✦ These commissions are not First Come First Serve. Every commissioner must submit an application for review.✦ References must be sent with your application. Any commission that does not provide references up front will not be accepted. References are used to provide a backbone for the storyline and commission. They are not indicative of the style of the artwork done, and any requests to copy a specific art style will not be accepted.✦ All prices listed are base prices and may be adjusted based on the nature and complexity of your commission. These prices may be adjusted individually based on each artist. All prices listed are in USD.✦ Payment will be done through an invoice sent by each individual artist with a deadline of 3 days. Commissioners must pay the invoice in full upfront upon beginning work with each individual artist. Should the deadline be missed, the commission may be canceled. Work will not progress until payment has been sent.✦ Additional payments may be requested of the client for anything that goes more than the scope of the current project. All of these will be communicated ahead of time.✦ Once your commission is accepted, all communication will be done through Discord group chats with all involved parties. Under no circumstances should you contact an individual artist.✦ Communication with the studio may take up to 3-5 business days for a reply. This is acknowledged by the client once they send in their application.✦ If you do not receive any updates on your commission, without prior warning, for 2 weeks after inquiring, the client may cancel at no additional cost. Similarly, should you not respond within 2 weeks of an inquiry/update without warning, all work will be canceled.
✦ The time it takes to complete your commission will be based on multiple factors, including complexity and desired length. The average waiting time for a 4 minute video done in storybook style is around 6 weeks. This process can be expedited by paying a rush fee, which will increase according to the previously mentioned factors.✦ Any attempt to chargeback at any point during work is a violation of Galeia’s T.o.S. and will result in your commission being canceled, as well as earn you a blacklist. This means you will no longer be able to commission any of the artists on Galeia’s team, as well as Galeia as a whole.✦ Major revisions to the commission should be made during the initial drafting/sketching phase of each artist’s section of the commission. Any revisions made after this stage will incur a charge per revision.
✦ After the final deliverable has been sent, the client has 5 business days to inform the studio of any changes. After those 5 business days, the commission will be considered complete and closed.Any changes asked for after the date of closure will cause the client to incur a charge.✦ Galeia Studio and the respective artists retain the rights to their work. By commissioning us, you accept that we will be posting WIPs and progress photos on social media, or potentially streaming the production of your commission, as well as displaying it in a public portfolio.✦ Should you wish for us to not post anything until after the commission is publicly released, an NDA add-on is available.
